20251120 - one of the stalls in chinatown complex that is open at night. Decided to try and was surprised by the long queue of orders they had. Ordered large plate and waited 10 min. Hokkien mee was slightly wet, had strong wok hey taste and goes well with the chilli. Overall quite satisfied with the dish and would have again.

Ordered $5 hkm. Took 12min to get served. Some background. "Unrelated" to the youfu franchise in golden mile and woodland. But then is cooked by the brother's dad lol. But honestly most of the time the hkm in golden mile is cooked by an India boy? Anyhow I can see similarity in the cooking style of the dad and the son in woodlands branch. Pro Flavorful. The char wok hey is unique. Similar to other branch on their good days. Not soggy,n Harmony. Everything comes well together. Cons A bit stingy with pork lard.

Have had them several times now. Quality is consistent. Stock is rich and flavourful, and the noodles really absorb it well. But it would be great if there is more ingredients like sotong, and could also use more wokhei. That said, this wet hokkien mee is still really decent for what it is.

A very solid plate of Hokkien mee with wokhei. The garlic fragrance… the moisture level, not too wet and not too dry. Nice and gooey. And the chilli is very shiok and goes well together. 姜還是老的辣

One of my favorite hokkien mee. Used to support him at the golden mile stall during covid when nobody ever knew his stall. Since not much food available, we made eye contact and he asked, want hkm anot? Ready liao. $5 one packet. Ok lo. Take. Went home and wah. This hkm good leh. It was so good that i informed my neighbours and they wanted to try so we had a group buy. Thereafter many of them loved this. Fast forward, after he handed back the stall to his son and thereafter to his 2nd son, i no longer patronise them at golden mile since the taste lose to this original stall. Today’s hkm was fry by his assistant who is also personally trained by the boss. Taste wise, even after i dabao during lunch for dinner, still so good. The pork lard is still crispy. Prawns are so big. But of course, boss cook still better. With this, deserved a 5 star rating!
