Favorite kopi stall at Chinatown Complex: The 1950’s Coffee Usually served by the thin elderly gentleman, who impresses with his speed and skill in brewing kopi. Their kopi is consistently good — full-bodied, aromatic, and satisfying. Over the years, they’ve even attained Michelin acknowledgement for the quality of their brew. Don’t miss the chance to try their kopi when you visit Chinatown Complex. Just be prepared to join the usual queue — it’s worth the wait!

Classic iced kopi - compared to others tried earlier in our trip, this was darker and more bitter, and also didn’t get particularly cold, more of a cool room temp. The flavour was just fantastic, so unless you need it extra icy, this is a worthwhile stop.

In Chinatown Market 2nd floor. This place has steady stream of customers. We had the regular hot black coffee. It is good strong coffee. You can sweeten it if you want, but takes away from original flavour, wakes you up. Also have cold drinks. After we got our drinks the line zoomed out to about about 20 people. No problem line moves fast😁☕️

1950s Coffee at Chinatown Food Center is a hidden treasure for coffee enthusiasts. Nestled among the bustling hawker stalls, this stall serves an exceptional cup of coffee that truly stands out. Their traditional brewing methods deliver rich, full-bodied flavors that transport you back to the charm of old-school coffee culture. Though the stall is unassuming, the quality speaks for itself. Prices are reasonable for the caliber of coffee you’re getting, and the owner’s passion and friendliness shine through in every cup. The queue is consistently long, but it moves quickly, and the wait is absolutely worth it. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the food center, this is a must-visit spot in Chinatown. Highly recommended!
