What an unexpected find right at the quiet fringe of Chinatown Complex - SMITH STREET TAPS that has been opened for 13 years and in this hawker centre 👍🏼🫰🏼 And why won’t you chill out here after a long day’s work in their spacious, quiet verandah overlooking Smith street with their diverse choice of taps from all over the region? While the regular local beers at any coffee shop might promise consistency and pocket friendliness, nothing beats catching up with your close ones at this relaxed & casual location on the 2nd level of Chinatown Complex Hawker Centre when most of the stalls are quiet with only a Cantonese-styled Tze Char and a fried chicken stall to complement this cool chill-out joint where no reservation is needed❣️ Thank you Joel and his friendly team for the endearing recommendations 🫰🏼 Quite a good support on a quiet Monday night 🤜🏼🤛🏼

pretty cool concept of having a draft beer stall in a hawker centre! i got their oktoberfest special @ 14$ (believe this is seasonal) staff is always happy to recommend according to your preferences so check with them if unsure (:

A great craft beer bar in Chinatown, much more professionally run than another I visited in Singapore. A small shop surrounded by food outlets- so plenty of choices nearby for food to accompany the beer. A selection of 12 taps with a changing range that included IPAs, sours, lagers, porters, stouts and hazies. If I lived in Singapore this would be my regular. If you enjoy craft beer this place is a must in Singapore!

Good selection of beers across about 12 taps, in the first floor above the markets at the corner of Smith. Prices about on a par with town. Guys at the taps were fun and knowledgeable.

The craft beer selection here is really good — probably one of the better places in a hawker centre if you’re looking for something unique and well-curated. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the staff. Service was unfriendly,, and gave the impression that customers were more of a bother than anything else. It’s a pity because the beer deserves more recognition, but the attitude at the stall makes it hard to want to come back or recommend to friends. Add on, I notice that the staff (male and female Chinese) are much friendlier to foreigners.
