This is a go-to favourite duck porridge shop that my dad and I frequent whenever we visit Chinatown Food Centre. We've been enjoying their dishes for years and can confidently say that their congee/ porridge is among the best we've ever tasted. 😀 The texture of the porridge is closer to a thick, creamy congee rather than the traditional watery porridge. The gravy, used from braising the duck meat, is drizzled over the porridge. It is rich and flavourful, with a robust, braised duck taste. The addition of white pepper & light sesame oil is the perfect finishing touch over the congee. The duck meat is tender and absorbs the gravy beautifully. My dad usually orders tofu, innards, and braised duck head to accompany his porridge. This traditional style of eating duck is popular among older patrons!
