Ordered claypot chicken rice for $7. Wait time was around 12min on off peak hour. Summary Rice : average Chicken : great Lup cheong : good Vege : good Rice was actually pretty white. I feel that not enough dark sauce was added. Even quick stirring after serve I still get a lot of stuck rice. Pretty dry rice for some reason. Salted fish definitely enhance the taste. Chicken was tender and juicy. A bit on the large cut, would prefer them to be smaller. Generous serving size. Chili was good old chicken rice chili, will be a plus point if u like those alot. Lup cheong has two varieties. One of the rare store that does it. One was porky and savory usual lup cheong. The other one has a more complex profile. Slightly sweet but only 2 or 3 pieces.

@Smith Street HC for late lunch on 23Nov’25. Ordered the small portion for $7. The dish was cooked from scratch. Took 20 minutes as there was no Q. Big portion of rice and chicken bits. The crunchy rice at the bottom was nice crisp but not burnt. Very good control of heat and was cooked evenly. The chilli sauce is tangy and had good heat. Will definitely come back for more.

The claypot chicken rice was authentic and delicious. The chicken was tender, the chilli had great kick, and the owner was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Very nice claypot rice. Amongst the top choice options here in Singapore. You won’t be disappointed. Order their pork trotters too, compliments the main claypot rice very well.

LOVELY THO Tried the chicken claypot rice at this stall recently, and overall, I’d say it was fairly average. The dish came piping hot, which is always a plus, and the portion was adequate for the price. The chicken was tender enough, and there was a slight smoky aroma from the claypot, though not as pronounced as I had hoped. The rice was the best part, I’d say. Flavour-wise, it was alright but nothing particularly memorable. The seasoning leaned a little flat, and even with the dark soy sauce and bits of Chinese sausage, it lacked the depth and richness that makes a great claypot rice dish stand out. Service was straightforward, and the wait was typical for a claypot dish (around 15-20 minutes). It’s an okay option if you’re in the area and craving something warm and filling. Lovely try, overall.
