As this was my first visit to this stall, I ordered KL Hokkien Mee for my late lunch. I was really craving for a plate of nice Hokkien Mee for long. I would say it was a spot-on. The noodle served without alkaline taste, simmered well with gravy instead of plain black colour super thick gravy. Taste wise it was quite close to what I have tasted in KL before but less salty. I took a few bites of crunchy lard cubes before tuck in and it was great. Halfway eating only I tossed the rest of the lard to mix well with the noodle. As the seasoning was right to my liking, I did not feel jelak after finished all. I also like the generous portion of prawn given. They even made effort to devein it. Nice texture, very different from the frozen prawn served by most zi char stalls. I will be back to try out the seafood crispy noodle and other dishes. Do support hawkers who serve nice local delicacies.

I previously passed by this stall and thought the menu looked rather interesting, so I saved it on my list of possible places for lunch. Decided to try the food after we had to get late lunch one day. We got the sweet and sour fish, black bean beef hor fun, prawn ball fried noodles and KL Hokkien mee. The total was $35. My favorites were the sweet and sour fish and beef hor fun. The sweet and sour sauce was really well made and the fish freshly fried. The beef was really tender and the hor fun along with the gravy tasted great. I also want to give a shout out to the fried pork lard that were served with the other 2 dishes. A hidden gem at Chinatown Complex and definitely a must try.

Stopped by this stall “林大强“ at Chinatown for dinner and had the “生面” — absolutely worth it! The noodles had a strong wok hei aroma and the silky egg gravy was rich and smooth. Portion are generous and service was quick. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area and craving a great plate of Wok hei noodles 🍜. Highly recommend this stall👍👍👍!

Beef hor fun with black bean gravy ($7 for small plate) - Good though the beef texture was not as good as before. From earlier visits: Black bean fish slice hor fun (鼓汁鱼片河粉) ($7) - Excellent. Black bean beef hor fun (鼓汁牛河) ($7) - Good flavours and tender beef. Black bean fish slice hor fun (鼓汁鱼片河粉) ($7) - Still good and same style though a different chef. Black bean fish slice hor fun (鼓汁鱼片河粉) ($7) - Excellent. Black bean fish slice hor fun ($6) - Excellent. KL Hokkien noodles (吉隆坡福建面) ($7) - Good flavour but lacking ingredients. 3 small prawns and some lard pieces. Black bean beef hor fun (鼓汁牛河) ($6) - Great. The beef slices were tender yet with bite.
