If you love blood cockles, this is the place to get your blood cockles char kuay teow...other places' cockles look like miniatures compared to this. We ordered the $12 portion. If you like yours more cooked, then just tell them. The oysters 🦪 are also big and good. We had the oyster omelette. It was yumz.

My family and I are big CKT lovers. We have tried a lot of top CKT in Singapore. Liang Ji's version is quite a letdown. I agree that the CKT is not oily and the blood cockles is very fresh and big, but that's about all you get. The real deal CKT requires the chef to prepare stock for hours, in the superior stock will includes pork bones, chicken bones, prawn shells/heads, etc. That's also the reason why CKT used to taste nicer in the 1980s, because back then stall owners will add prawns into the CKT. When you have prawns, you will have shells and prawn heads, which will be used to boil the stock. I saw the way Liang Ji cook, he uses the blood cockles juice to fry, I don't think that's helping with the taste. The kway teow is quite tasteless without much fragrant, I would suggest him to at least use some fish sauce. The whole CKT tastes like burnt kway teow. In my opinion, there's a difference between wok hei and burnt taste. Nevertheless, Liang Ji has great hospitality and very friendly. I hope he can improve his culinary skills and all the best to him!

CKT the way I like it ! Not too dry , with wok hey and with just the right punch of chilli spiciness . Real value for $$ too with the large portion of the yummy hawker delicacy! And complement to the friendly and spirited Chef Dominic ..

Nice plate of char kuay teow I have in a while. Good balance of sweetness from the dark sauce, not too oily, can taste the eggs, nice wok hey and generous serving of 4 big fat cockles for $5

Super good CKT! Look at the amount of humssss. Wok hey taste is not too over not too bitter and not too sweet. We ordered the Mala CKT to try as we are curious how will Mala be with CKT and was pleasantly surprised at how both Mala and the ckt and hum flavours match without any powering each other 🥰 Chef was so nice serving up to your seat during non peak timings, ahh I’m craving for it again!
