Chinatown Chicken Rice

There portion sold here are value for money. At $3.50 you will get a decent plate of chicken rice to fill you up. I can't complain and it's reasonable to accept that it might not be as flavourful as before because ingredients cost money. I am happy with the price and portions and will return to eat from this stall.

This place has been lacking a good wanton mee store in the morning for a long time. This store leverage on this opportunity! The surrounding shops either have char Siew rice or just noodle without char Siew. Compared to the wanton shop near the lift, the char Siew wanton noodle here is of the same price at 3.50$ but the noodle is not as bitter and poorly made as the one shop near the lift. The plate of char Siew can be ordered on the side at either 5, 6, 7 dollars based on the number of people it is feeding. Cooking time is about 5-10 mins and it’s served with a smile without any rush or fuss.

I feel like the quality drop. Both the rice and soup were not as flavorful now.. the soup previously has sweetness from vegetables now it just taste like ordinary watery soup with spring onions. The rice does not have chicken oil taste and the ginger taste is too strong.

$3.50 for a plate of steamed chicken rice is hard to find nowadays so was pleasantly surprised to find this stall. Portion was adequate. Rice was pretty fragrant. Chicken was alittle on the tough side though. Garlic chilli and ginger sauce packs a punch! Service was commendable - pleasant and polite.

Used to be very good. I packed half kampong chicken today. It was a shock that that chicken was oozing with blood water when I unpacked it. Lady owner should have seen the blood and changed another chicken for me. Quite disappointed
