Ah Qing Traditional Lor Mee

Fried Chicken Lor Mee was a dish I tried for the first time at this place, and I left very satisfied. The chicken was cooked perfectly, with great flavor. The sauce in this dish had a rather unusual consistency, but it was interesting and well-seasoned overall. The noodles were prepared exactly as they should be, the portion size was adequate, and all of this for just $4.50. I definitely recommend visiting this stall.

If you’re expecting a bowl of lor mee that looks like the one in the pictures, think again 😆. The gravy’s got a lovely braised flavour, but the ingredients—especially the fried fish—seem to be playing hide and seek. You’ll need to dig deep into the noodles to find them 😎. Note: the ingredients like fried chicken, braised pork and ngo hiang are also sold separately as side dishes. That explained the strategy ya 🤨

I like it. It has the traditional Lor Mee spunky adour and taste. The best chunks are bite size and tasty, too. The serving is just nice to have with another meal from Chinatown Complex.

A very plain lor mee. The gravy is relatively flat, and without flavour, the spice is obviously absent. I need plenty of chilli paste to boost up the bowl in order not to waste it. The only compliment is the deep-fried fresh fish, there are bone intact, and you need to be careful. The side order of ngor hiang is just average, nothing to shout out. I will not recommend nor be back for this.
