Keng Cheong Tan

★★★★

The Chwee Kueh is so-so in my opinion. There was a long queue for it. Price point, it is reasonable, at 50 cents for one piece. The rice cake is a little crumbly and the Cai Poh is light and not so oily and paired with the chili is subtle and simple in taste

Ordered chee cheong fun and yam cake because of the special sauce. There is nothing special about the sauce, it is just like the normal sweet sauce at other chee cheong fun stall. The chee cheong fun is very soft. The chilli is nicer than the sweet sauce. The yam cake is average.

Ordered Chee Cheong Fun ($2.20). Soft and smooth texture. Sweet sauce was normal but the chilli sauce was pretty good.

Chwee Kueh was smooth and soft, yet not overly oily. Chye Poh was chewy and not particularly salty. Overall it still tastes good.

Long long queue (mostly aunties) on weekend mornings. The cheecheongfun is more popular than the namesake chwee kueh. The cheecheongfun comes piping hot, and served with their unique blend of sauces. And that’s their auntie winning combination! Recommend to order the soya sauce/cooked oil (豉油熟油) instead of the normal sweet sauce, their blend is unique.
