Food is so good! We ordered both the white & black carrot cake ($3.50 each)! There’s only one uncle running the store and he cooks plate by plate upon ordering so you gotta wait! Apparently, the carrot cake is homemade too. Texture is good, and flavor of the dish was so fragrant! The carrot cake dish is not too wet (like many stores), and he fried it such that there were many crisp portions (& wok hey). Love! I will revisit again and try other dishes too!

There are 2 stalls facing each other, 1 called original changi something (too long a name), and this Lao Chen Guo Dang. Ordered black, and I think many will be pleased it's not so sweet, while I prefers a tad sweeter. Requested aunty to chop up the carrot cake to small bits and she obliged. I'm impressed, cos MOST Hawkers has no passion for e trade but chunking out mediocre food. Not this aunty. Thumbs up! Taste wise, it's regular. Quite oily though.

Only one uncle manning the stall, he took order and also fried the carrot cake. Ordered the white one and it was so good. Only $3 but there was so much eggs! Radish was in huge chunks and they are not too too wet. Very flavourful and I enjoyed it. 😉

🌟 Lao Chen Guo Dang: A Nostalgic Delight! 🌟 As I stepped into Lao Chen Guo Dang, the aroma of freshly cooked carrot cake enveloped me, instantly transporting me back to my carefree childhood days. This unassuming eatery has mastered the art of old-school carrot cake, and it’s nothing short of magical. 🥕 Carrot Cake Bliss: The carrot cake here is a symphony of flavors. Each bite is a harmonious blend of soft, pan-fried radish cake, fragrant eggs, and just the right amount of preserved radish. It’s like a warm hug from Grandma’s kitchen. 🕰️ Time Travel: Lao Chen Guo Dang’s carrot cake isn’t just food; it’s a time machine. With every forkful, I relived lazy Sunday mornings, sitting cross-legged at the dining table, savoring this same comforting dish. It’s nostalgia on a plate. 💰 Affordable Indulgence: At a pocket-friendly $3.50 per plate, Lao Chen Guo Dang lets you indulge without breaking the bank. It’s a steal for the memories it evokes and the sheer deliciousness it delivers. So, if you’re seeking a taste of yesteryears, head to Lao Chen Guo Dang. Let the carrot cake weave its magic, and let time slow down as you savor every morsel. 🕰️✨ (Note: Prices and menu items are subject to change. Always check with the eatery for the latest offerings.) 🥢📍 I’m delighted to share this nostalgic review with you! If you need more assistance or have other requests, feel free to ask. 😊🍰
