Visited the one at Alexandra village. Ordered the big prawn + pork ribs. Soup is very rich and flavourful. Added noodles, and the chili sauce doesn't really coats the noodles well. The sauce is little lacking. Noodles are not mixed, and it's pretty hard to get the noodles and beehoon well integrated because the noodles are long and stubborn. The prawns are massive. Almost like mini lobsters. However, they lack sweetness. Meat is quite tough. Feels like badly frozen prawns. I'd get the smaller prawns to try next time. Kangkong is well cooked, sweet and juicy. The chili flakes are good. The star ingredient must be the pork ribs. It's so tender, it literally melts in your mouth. I don't think I've eaten anything like this before. The flavour is also pretty good. I'd could come back just for the pork ribs alone. There's alot potential for this to be a solid bowl of prawn mee. But for now 3.9/5.

It’s a very old traditional prawn noodle style. This is the one that is on the second floor. The soup has a punch, dry noodle is better because of the sambal chili. Ingredients are fresh and it leave u wanting for more.

We've enjoyed the delicious old-school hae mee (prawn mee) here @The Old Stall Hokkien Street Prawn Mee in Hong Lim Market & Food Center! Out of the 4 noodle choices, we pick Kway Teow and Thin Bee Hoon in dry version. Both are cooked well (not under/overcooked), and have good flavor + just right spiciness when tossed in the chilli mixture. A medley of toppings makes each bowl a satisfying meal👍👍👏👏😋😋 Medium-sized prawns are fresh, meaty and have bouncy sweetness; not overcooked! Kang Kong and beansprouts bring juicy crunch and a much-needed lift of freshness. Shallots and crispy pork lard, both fried in-house, atop the noodles add additional flavor and texture to each bowl! Yum😋😋 For those craving a spicier kick, its signature chilli (created with hae bee or dried shrimps) is a must! A separate bowl of unami-laden prawn soup accompanies the dry noodles. Without the mask of MSG, the soup’s natural depth comes from aromatic garlic cloves, sweet yet briny prawns and savoury pork. Flavorful😋😋 Want to savour a piece of prawn mee heritage? Visit and give this long-established traditional Hokkien prawn mee stall a shot💪👏😋

I ordered the signature Pork Ribs Noodle with Prawns to try. The prawn was fresh and the pork ribs were tender, however I found the broth to be rather average. I wouldn’t mind ordering again but wouldn’t queue for it. I appreciate that the owner was very friendly!

I was craving for prawn noodle soup in a rainy day, looking for a popular stall however not sure why I ended up in this stall on the 2nd floor. I have no regret and was pleasantly surprised of the tastinesses of the broth, touted no MSG added, the broth is flavourful. Ordered a large bowl costing only $7.8, it came with a few medium size prawns and 4 chunky pieces of meaty pork ribs. I am so satisfied with this wholesome bowl of prawn noodles with added pork ribs. Highly recommended.
