Kitty and I recently had the opportunity to visit Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee at Hong Lim Food Centre. Our visit followed a baking class at Suntec and bicycle servicing at Funan. Upon our arrival at Hong Lim Food Centre, we sought recommendations from local residents, and this particular stall was highlighted. The proprietor of this establishment was formerly an apprentice at the Level One curry mee noodle stall and subsequently decided to establish his own business on Level Two. We observed that the service speed at this stall is considerably more efficient than its Level One counterpart. Furthermore, the quality of the food appears to be superior, and the service provided is notably sincere and commendable. After sampling their curry mee, kitty and I concurred that the curry noodle with chicken was exceptionally good and delicious. We both completely finished our broth. This stall has also been recognised with a Michelin Guide Singapore 2018 award. The curry noodles are priced at $6.50, $7.50, and $8.50. Kitty and I opted for the $6.50 portion, which is consistent with the pricing at the Level One stall. While prices have increased since receiving the Michelin Award, the owners have effectively managed to maintain a swift queue clearance despite consistent demand.

Ordered small curry chicken with thick bee hoon for $6.50. Pro Curry. Wonderful thick gives any laksa a run for their money. Chili, either add it in or coat your chicken in it, gives it another dimension. Chicken. Was tender and soaking up the curry make it take wonderful. Tao pok nice to have something that soak up the curry goodness. Meh Potato.

Thoughts after eating this: 1. Curry: Delicious but it’s pretty watery, would prefer the sauce to be thicker 2. Chicken: Very fresh and soft, not dry inside surprisingly. But portion wise could be more. 3. Dau pok: I think they have the best dau pok ever in Singapore I loved them! Price ranges from $6.50/$7.50:$8.50, for the price I would think the noodles and meat could have been more. Nevertheless it was a satisfactory meal.

Donkey and I recently had the chance to visit Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee at Hong Lim Food Centre. We were on our way from a baking class at Suntec and bicycle servicing at Funan. When we arrived at Hong Lim, we asked some locals for recommendations, and this stall was highly recommended! Apparently, the owner used to be an apprentice at the Level One curry mee noodle stall and decided to open his own place on Level Two. We noticed that the service here is much faster than at the Level One stall. Plus, the food seemed better, and the service was really sincere and nice. After trying their curry mee, Donkey and I both agreed that the curry noodle with chicken was exceptionally good and delicious! We completely finished our broth, it was that good! We also found out that this stall has a Michelin Guide Singapore 2018 award. The curry noodles are priced at $6.50, $7.50, and $8.50. I and Donkey both got the $6.50 portion, which is the same price as the Level One stall. Even though the prices have gone up since they got the Michelin Award, the owners have managed to keep the queue moving quickly, even with the constant demand. Rating: 4.5 stars • Food: 5/5 - Exceptionally good and delicious curry mee! • Service: 5/5 - Sincere and commendable service, faster than the Level One stall. • Atmosphere: 3/5 - Typical bustling hawker center atmosphere.

First time eating at a Singapore hawker stall, we were planning to have chicken rice but ended up here… and the curry chicken noodles were delicious. The broth is divine. The chicken and tau pok are juicy and tender. Spiciness is medium, but you can add as much chilli as you want. They take some digital payments but if you have foreign credit cards you are better off paying in cash (there are a couple of ATMs a couple of minutes’ walk).
