Duck drumstick rice, add tau pok, pig skin and salted veg. $10.20. Decent price. Duck was tender and flavourful. However, everything is so oily. There was a shimmering layer of oil on the sauce, even the tau pok was soaked in oil like a sponge - no idea why they had to fry the tau pok before braising it which makes it super oily. Halfway thru the plate started to feel “jelat” liao coz it’s too oily. No soup was served too. Will prefer my usual braised duck stall just behind this stall, An Kee.

Ah Heng Duck Rice in Hong Lim truly lives up to its Michelin recommendation. From the moment you step inside the unpretentious, bustling eatery, you’re greeted with an aroma that hints at something exceptional—an experience that promises both comfort and a culinary adventure. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the duck rice. Each bite of the tender, succulent duck is bursting with rich, savory flavors perfectly balanced by a subtle hint of spice. The accompanying intestines add an unexpected, delightful texture that contrasts well with the soft tofu, which is silky and absorbs the depth of the sauce beautifully. The harmonious blend of flavors makes the dish both comforting and sophisticated, exemplifying why this spot has earned high culinary accolades.

Ordered one plate of braised duck rice and Kway Chap for $9.50 Flavourful and no foul smell for the intestines. Duck meat is tender too.

The kway chap and duck meat here taste really good — full of flavor and definitely worth trying! However, the environment is super hot, so be prepared. If you’re planning to visit, I’d suggest bringing a small fan with you to enjoy the delicious duck rice more comfortably.
