Hong Wan Food Stall

Ordered a bowl of porridge, green vegetables, minced meat, and otah, all 1 pax portion. While the food was pretty decent, the $7 price tag came as quite a shock.

2 veg + 1 meat = $7. 3 packet $21. Most expensive one I've eaten in Singapore haha.

Nothing like Taiwan style porridge breakfast with a selection of different dishes to choose from. Much less oily and likely healthier an option compared to other choices of breakfast. The porridge comes with some sweet potato which is nice. Some items seem to be available every day whilst others only occasionally. Minced pork, fish cake, fried omelette with onion, leafy vegetables,... List goes on. Probably around 25 items to choose from. The lady boss is friendly and approachable. Really like that she is considerate to cut down the portion sizes according what she estimates would be sufficient based on the selection you order. Seems to be pretty accurate every time. They open from very early so it's one of my regular breakfast spots before 7 am.

9.28am at Hong Lim FC again…walked pass this Hong Wan Food Stall then realised saved long ago want to eat… Ordered Stir Fried Bitter Gourd with Grouper Fish Head $5…3 big 2 small pieces…tastes great 👍 power !! Cabbage 🥬 cheng cheng old school taste 💚 Fried Eggplant 🍆 good but if it’s warm/hot will be better…$1 each Hot hot porridge lam lor zup Shiok !! 50cents…Those who live in the old district are so happy & lucky !
