Personal Taste & Opinion: The soup was rich and robust, but the hei bi (dried shrimp) flavour was a little overpowering — that was the first thing I noticed upon tasting it. The pork lard and chilli lacked that final punch. The chilli, in particular, was too mild for my liking (though I admit I’m more of a spice person). Prawns could’ve been bigger — at $9, I expected a bit more in portion and presentation. *Had added $1 more meat thus hitting $9 Overall, it was decent, but since I’ve had better prawn noodles elsewhere, I’d rate this one slightly lower in comparison.

I came across the YouTube video posted by a food blogger about this stall. Finally had a chance to try it after the lunch time peak hour. First taste of the soup version of the prawn noodle ($5.5) didn’t impress me as I found it lack the umami, perhaps the soup was a bit “diluted”, the prawns were sliced into half with the shell still intact, it became a bit hard to deshell. On the other hand, the intestinal tract was removed. In conclusion it wasn’t that bad after all for that price point.

I didn't know about this gem of a prawn noodle stall is hidden at the 1st floor of hong lim food centre. The soup is so rich and flavorful. I ordered my $9.50 bowl of prawn and pork ribs noodle soup that came with 4 halves of a whole prawn and 4 tender pork ribs. I just made this stall as my favorite. This is my personal best so far as a Hawker Foodie. Just look at the elegant mess I have created. Will strongly recommend this to everyone who loves a bowl of delicious prawn noodle.

$8 portion is very reasonable, with 3 pieces of pork rib, 4 half sliced prawn, and good amount of noodle. Intestine cleared from the prawns, pork ribs were tender. Very rich broth, can clearly taste the umami from the prawn. Weather in SG is getting so hot, I was dripping sweat while eating at Honglim. Hence the 3 star for atmosphere~

The dry prawn noodles are not bad. But not much pork lard...I ordered yellow mee and been hoon for the dry version. Good combination. I will come back to try their soup based prawn noodles.
