Ordered a big plate to share with my partner and it was unexpectedly so good! Cabbage, eggplant and bean sprouts were so good, pork belly, meatball and pork cutlet was the same as most places but still yummy, and the fried chicken drumstick was crispy and well marinated! Portion sizes and prices were also reasonable— we paid about $11 for 2 people in total. Considering we got 3 veg, 3 meat and an egg, I’d say it’s a steal!

Some food bloggers wrote about this stall, so I decided to give it a try today. Sadly, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. Yes, prices were affordable… but the food just didn’t hit the mark. All the dishes were served cold — except for the pale-looking curry chicken, which was only slightly warm. Quite a letdown, especially when you’re expecting a comforting, hearty meal. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I’m definitely not coming back.

Economical curry rice with generous servings, and tasty ingredients. $5.50 for steamed egg, chicken cutlet, curry vegetables, pork ball and a serving of rice. Their curry was fragrant and slightly lemak which adds a layer of richness to the ingredients. Chicken cutlet was juicy with your standard economical rice batter. Pork balls have water chestnuts which are interesting (definitely ordering this again). Note: Their serving of rice is huge! Might wanna ask them for less rice if you're cutting on carbs.😳

This really good curry rice has moved into the same premises as Loong Fatt - 639 Balestier road. Coming here for breakfast meant that we did not have the full array of dishes . But whatever we had convinced as that the food served in this humble stand ranks among the best. Fresh batang fried simply but well, meatballs so yummy that one can picture the chopper mincing away , with real water chestnuts. And the tanghoon - mung bean vermicilli -good just eaten on its own but double the deliciousness paired with fried egg and a bigger than golf ball meatball. We are so going back for more !

Ordered a portion of vegetables, pork cutlet slices and I think the last item is a must-order -- it is either made from fishmeat or it is a mixture of pork and fish. The curry albeit different from Scissors Cut Rice 剪刀剪 style, it is tasty and totally not spicy at all. $3.50 for this plate makes it really worth a try.
