Yan Xia Noodle

Delicious Pickled tender shredded pork noodle and also great with Laksa which came with fresh Cockles too. Nice Lor mee also. Very enjoyable and refreshing not too thick and heavy.

The laksa is very authentic, yummy, thick and not too spicy. 😋 I would say one of the best laksa I have ever had in Singapore. Service wise is typical hawkers services, not much to comment. Environment is noisy of course as it is in a hawkers centre.

Ordered the most basic lor Mee. It's authentic and true to local flavour. Personally, I enjoyed the bowl of Lor Mee. And if you are someone who likes spicy/lots of garlic, this might be the place for you.

Their pickled shredded pork noodle($4) and fried fish fillet($2) are very nice. Soup base has medium sourness(from pickled cabbage, 酸菜) with mild spicyness and less saltiness. Shredded pork is tender. Fried fish fillet is very tender. Noodle is kind of springy handmade curly noodle. Overall portion is big. 9.2/10

Really cheap and very affordable for everyone. As low as $3 per bowl, they serve lor-mee, Laksa and China popular sour vegetables fish noodles, which probably not many customers know this cuisine. Although lor-mee and laksa was very local foods, but this stall was managed by two China Chinese ladies, who are capable to handle so many varieties of foods, even though kitchen was a bit messy during peak hours, but food still consider clean during preparation. I tried their very simple very affordable $3 lor-mee, you really can't complain for such affordable pricing with pretty decent ingredients, beside the noodle, you will have 1 quite decent size of fried fish, and t was fresh and tasty. And also half hardboiled egg, slices of fish cake and pork meat. Of course with some coriander and self added chilli, garlic and vinegar. You can't say it was a very good lor-mee, the gravy was too thick and lack of good stock taste, just very simple soya sauce with starch. But with such sufficient ingredients and charging at very affordable low price. I have to recommend you to try if you want to spend very little money for a meal during lunch time.
