Jia Nasi Lemak (New Generation)

I love the fragrance of the nasi lemak. I could taste the coconut as well as the pandan. I do hope that the bright green is from the pandan and not from colouring though. The taste of the chicken was savoury and it was well-marinated. It became too oily for me after eating a few mouthful as the egg was oily too. I liked that the egg was still hot as I often get to eat cold sunny side-up that has been left out for some time.

The rice was fragrant and fluffy with a lovely hint of pandan, cooked perfectly so each grain stayed separate. The sambal chilli was a real highlight – rich, slightly sweet, and packed with just the right level of heat that lingers pleasantly. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside and the curry vegetables added a nice savoury balance. Every bite came together beautifully – a must-try for any nasi lemak lover!

Absolutely delicious nasi lemak! The rice was fragrant and fluffy, the sambal had just the right balance of heat and sweetness, and the crispy anchovies and peanuts added great texture. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. One of the best nasi lemak I've had—highly recommend!
