Hong Ji Traditional Wanton Noodle

Today is Saturday and super crowded here at the food hawter canter. I’m lucky alone manage grab seat share table with others. I have ordered roasted pork dumplings noodle add-on cha siew, the lady boss charge me $8.00 🥺 from this stall. The stall served the ingredients (Dumplings - small half prawn, Roasted pork & Cha siew thin slices) and the noodle is normal portion and includes the soup tastes also plain and normal. Simply not special.

The noodles texture I was looking for! Great bite and it’s the slightly whitish type- not the factory yellow type with lots of alkaline smell. Wanton and dumpling were great! Char Siew could have been better so I drop it 1 star. Else, it’s great!

Stall owner uncle is friendly but unfortunately his wanton noodle is only so-so. Intended to order the $4 portion but he convinced me to order the $5 one saying it is more worth it 🤓

Located in Albert Centre, Hong Ji Traditional Wanton Noodle is as traditional as it comes. The noodles are done al dente and the sauce evenly coats every strand of the noodles. The roast pork has crispy crackling and tender meat. I like that the dumplings are made-to-order rather than prepared beforehand and dished out when you place your order. This means that the dumplings still retains their shape instead of being limp.

Noodles (non-soggy type), I like. Sauce is ok, but wanton can be further improved. $4 per plate of wanton noodles, reasonably priced.
