This is one of my top 3 fish soup stalls within Hawker Centres, in town area. Actually my 2nd best. After Han Kee Fish Soup at Amoy Street Food Ctr. The fish here at Angel Horse Fish Stall is very fresh. And like in all good teochew fish soup, they don’t overcook the fish slices. And the soup must be clear and clean tasting… just focusing on the sweetness / freshness of the fish. Expect long Q during lunch times… The only downside is they reduced the amount of fish slices post Covid.. mainly becos of inflation and high costs of fresh fish. Enjoy!

Very hard to miss this stall, this is one of the stall inside Albert Street market food centre that has long queue. Happen to come by here for lunch and decide to give this stall a try. When I joined the queue, there were at least 15 pax ahead of me but it moved relatively fast. The fish soup starts from SGD5.5 onwards. I ordered the sliced fish soup and a bowl of rice. Although the soup looks very clear but its quite flavourful. The sliced batang fish tasted fresh. Overall, the fish soup was not bad. Can consider trying if you looking for healthier option when you are at this Hawker centre.

Worthy Thick slices of fish contain within a bowl of clear well-tasted soup, accompanied with the greens, bitter gourd and a silky smooth tofu. Yes, that’s the description for this bowl of sliced fish soup, a simple protein lunch I had for the day. Again, most well-served hawker food needs our patience to queue and likewise apply to Angel House Teochew Fish Soup located here. Kudos & Big shout out to the caring stall owner who attended to senior citizens with mobility issues to join the long queue. I observed that some of the customers were happy to fork out extra and order fish head soup during lunch hour and I am believing they made the right decision.

One of my must-eats when I am in the area. Opens at 11am but queue already starts forming by 10.45am. Closed on Sun and Mon. Add fish eggs is additional $1 but worth it. I always order the biggest bowl of fish soup at $7. Clear soup type and most important, I don't feel thirsty after the meal.

Tried the Mixed Fish Soup ($6.50) at Angel Horse Teochew Fish Soup located at Albert Centre Market and Food Centre (#01-95) recently! Had it for lunch with my friend. Worth noting is the fact that I never knew this hawker centre existed until very recently! Food: - For $6.50, I had this much ingredients: 2x Prawns 4x Fish 4x Pork Tofu Lettuce Bitter Gourd Fried Shallots Spring Onions If this isn't value-for-money, I don't know what is! - The garlic, soy sauce and chili mixture (if that was what I managed to discern) had a great kick to it. Just the right amount of heat and the right amount of saltiness - The fish soup was pretty flavourful and they weren't too excessive with the seasoning. If anything, they were relying on the sweetness of the meat, and that was what impressed me the most - The fish slices were thinly cut and were cooked perfectly. They also tasted pretty fresh - That being said, I felt that the pork was a little tough Service/Atmosphere: - The auntie was friendly and didn't hesitate to correct me when I mistakenly asked for 双鱼汤 (deep fried and sliced fish soup), which the stall doesn't offer All in all, will definitely be back. Easily one of the better fish soups I've had!
