Food has decreased in quality and quantity compared to the past but is not my main complaint. In the past the boss and lady boss is super nice and welcoming. They seemed to have hired an extremely rude old uncle. When taking soy sauce I accidentally spilled some on my fingers and some on the countertop. As I went back, I saw him taking some tissue. I mistakenly thought it was for me and thanked him. Instead he scolded me vulgarities and cleaned the counter top. So I had to wipe my hand on the cloth provided there instead. He snatched it away from me and continued scolding me vulgarities. Please stay away from this rude worker. I used to be a regular at this stall but no longer. Would advise everyone to stay away from this stall till they change this worker. His sour attitude will just spoil your appetite.

Usually I don’t brag much about any restaurant for a long time. But this pork soup and the seafood soup just blew my mind. The tender pork just melts in the mouth and the seafood soup with shrimp was so soft and juicy that I had to take the order again. The quality of the food was so good that in few hours everything i ate got digested and I got hungry again. If you are visiting Newtown then this shop no. 60 their seafood soup and pork soup is a must try and you will not regret. Will surely visit again.

Tasty prawn har Mee at Tian Xiang. The broth was delicious and the noodles were springy. Good value!

At 2.30 AM, with no customers in sight, the stall marked my order as “food is ready.” In reality, the food was only handed over eight minutes later. The issue isn’t the eight minutes. Any kitchen needs time. The real problem is the practice of signalling readiness before the food actually exists. In the context of delivery platforms, that signal isn’t cosmetic—it triggers timers, shapes metrics, and communicates to the service provider that the stall is fast and efficient. When the signal is false, the entire system becomes distorted. A stall that performs this manoeuvre at 2.30 AM, when speed should be at its peak, demonstrates that the practice is not an accident but a habit. And when a business relies on appearance rather than accuracy, it undermines trust—the very foundation of customer relationships and platform reliability. The food itself may be good. The practice, however, is not.

0 stars. Order take away, prawn noodle with soup. No soup given. Asked for mixed noodle, all beehoon. Paid $20 for sumo prawn and they’re the same size as regular. Paid $3 for extra pork slice just look at the photo not even a tablespoon size total. Over $20 for the most expensive dish on the menu expecting a large, and pathetic. Read all the reviews the portions are pathetic even my 4 year old toddler can finish. Look at the chilli padi packed, not even the size of my finger tip. But yes get the entire order wrong ontop of that.
