Portions here are well worth the prices, soup was light and fish slices are fresh. Complementary condiments at the side would oomph up the soup based on one’s own preferences. I’ve tried both Michelin bib fish soup stall and much prefer Song Kee’s for Uncle’s warm service. Thank you!

I know I shouldn't expect too much from touristy hawker spots, but I'd eaten at Song Kee Fish Soup before, and it was okay. I happened to be in the area and saw the news about them making it into the Bib Gourmand list, so I thought of giving them another try. But this time, it was really bad. I went with the $6 fish porridge, their smallest bowl. The portion is okay for the price, but the fish was really bad. The batang slices were so heavily marinated that I couldn't even recognise it as batang. It was mushy, resembling a dory kind of soft texture, and the unique fishy profile of batang was completely gone. The only saving grace was that they were still generous with the condiments.

Been a long-time regular customer for years while working in the area, and great to see it recognised with the Michelin Bib Gourmand! Uncle gives a good portion of fish, fish is fresh and good quality, soup is light and clear. I also like the soybean sauce. One of my favourite fish soup stalls in Singapore. It’s a one-man so there can be a queue especially around lunchtime, but he’s pretty fast.

$15 fish soup. I dont think all the alices were fully cooked when served and the dish is very plain. I guess the fish is very tender but again I don't think all were fully cooked and it wasn't very tasty. Would not have again

Taste clean no fishy smell. Porridge not bad but not really worth the queue
