My favourite curry puff in Singapore. Best when just fried and piping hot, skin is crispy and tasty, curry filling flavour is perfect to my taste buds. It’s a lot of work being handmade by uncle which is not easily found anymore. Nicer than the ones at Hong Lim or Tanjong Pagar, maybe a close second is Er Jie.

Lagoon Chicken Curry Puff (鸡肉咖哩绞子) East Coast Lagoon Food Village Stall 28 Opening Hours: 1 pm – 9 pm (Sun–Mon), Closed Tues Another classic, Any mention of Lagoon Chicken Curry Puff, you’ll get nostalgic sighs from those familiar with these golden nuggets. This Lagoon Chicken Curry Puff has similar style to Katong’s, with a slightly thicker but butter dough. The handmade puffs have fillings that taste more sambal than curry, and you can see tiny bits of chilli within. These Chicken Curry Puffs were crispy, flaky and stuffed to bursting. The curry in these puffs packed a punch, and the generous amount of potatoes is just the icing on the cake. The perfect snack on the go, you’ll gravitate to these every time you head to East Coast Lagoon Food Village.

Delicious old school chicken curry puff by uncle now in mid 70s. Crispy skin and delicious hot pipping fills. Hardworking old man doing his best for passion and living. Long hours and age is not easy for this old shop that makes fresh curry puff. Some mentioned irregular opening hours but let’s leave a bit of empathy on google to the tired old man. Technologies and reviews has brought down business for old business owners that are not tech savvy enough to update their pages regularly. Overall the taste is still as good. $2.00 now a piece compared to 80cts in 1993. Business is not easy. Pat on the shoulder and 加油 to the boss.

I am quite disappointed with my recent visit. It has been the go-to stall for curry puff, but after this recent visit, I am not sure if I will go back again. The skin is quite thick and not crispy, which is still fine. But the filling is rather watery, and some potato pieces are not cooked. Now I am craving for the one at Hong Lim Food Centre.

Unassuming stall serving hot crispy curry puff with fillings that is moist and flavourful. Generous amount of potatoes and you can taste fresh chicken meat too. Mildly spicy. Better than the average curry puffs out there
