This is my favorite Zi Char stall at East Coast Lagoon Food Centre. And they occupy 4 stalls! We are long time customers. My wife and me always order their spring onion venison (which other place has too much meat tenderizer) this one has good bite. And their Hor Fun is good!

I came here again to try the grilled crab, which I had before and it was really good. But this time was very disappointing. Paid $70 for a crab that was badly overcooked and burnt. The meat was dry and hard to eat, nothing like the previous time. When I spoke to the staff (the tattooed guy), I was told “this is how we cook, it’s supposed to be burnt.” Honestly, that’s not an acceptable answer. Very dissatisfied this time

Dining at East Coast Lagoon Village nowadays in a treat. The selection of great local food is without a doubt. But on top of this is the ambience that resembles alfresco dining without the burning a hole in your pocket in more expensive restaurant. This is one stall that I patronise whenever I want local bbq food fix. It is the place for a chill and to fill your stomach with local delicacies after a hard day. Update: Compared to a year plus ago when I last ate here, the quality of food is even better. The grilled squid with just pepper is the best grilled squid I had. The fried pork is also very good. I highly recommend this place if you are here at this food centre.

I used to enjoy the food here for ages as they had offered sumptuous meals but the recent change in staffing had introduced uncomfortable practices that disadvantages customers. We wanted to order our usual crayfish which is charged by weight. The items selected were around 340g and she wanted to round up the cost to 400g. When we asked her to change to another unit since it's now to be on rounded basis then she was unhappy and only allowed one change. I guess I will patronize again only if I see the familiar faces manning it then.

My father and I we here a while ago and we were waiting for a seat for a while and waited for people to eat then and once done we took the seat. A man with tattoos was very intimidating and made us leave the seat so his friends could sit. And of course we left after waiting 30 mins for that seat. Firstly this is a public seating which shouldn’t be reserved and people cannot be shood away. The food is very average luckily this incident forced us regular customers to try some other stalls which are way better. Hire better people. To use such intimidating tactics to shoo customers seats for the people who he knows has to illegal in food village. Edit: we were there 2 weeks ago btw never got around to writing g the review. Also regarding the tattooed guy there are other reviews mentioning him so don’t deny there is that guy. I have nothing against tattooed ppl but the guy kicked us out of our seats even though we were customers.
