Very unimpressive kwap chap. I went for the large set and added an additional kway. Total cost me around $9. The kway was pretty pathetic in portion and the braised innards/ingredients were not well flavored enough to warrant this price point. At this price, you should be eating another kway chap stall at the food centre if it is open. Even if that stall is not open, I would still not recommend this stall. A very unsatisfying, disappointing kway chap in one of my favourite food centres.

Maybe it's a bad time to eat kway chap at 3.30 pm. The store auntie seems disinterested and grumpy. She's also not wearing a face mask. The flat noodles (kway) are lumpy, and the texture is rough, not the silky types we like. The pork bits are pretty disappointing, too. The intestines are tough. There's no pig skin or stomach. The tow kua is undercooked and didn't soak in the sauces. The only saving grace is the pork belly meat, which is quite well braised. Yeah, maybe kway chap is for breakfast and early lunch.

Kway Chap (SGD $6) @ Yi Fa Kway Chap. . Madam Oh Guat Keng has been serving her homely rendition since before January 2008. . The soy braising stock imparts a light herbal salty savoury earthy flavour, to the chewy small intestines, tender large intestines, tender pork belly, soft peanuts, spongy dried tofu puffs, and springy chicken egg. . Nicely clean-tasting, with the braised peanuts lending a lovely contrast. . The stock pairs nicely with the slippery silky wide flat kway teow / rice noodles, carrying a mild grainy herbal salty sweet flavour. Bits of fried shallots complete.

Had Kway chup without the Kway. 7/10. Has porky odour so not recommended for those who are sensitive. Paid $7 was good value for money

Lady boss is nice... she will ask you what items do you eat so that she can match the correct Assorted itemsfor you. The kway chap soup have a slight herbal taste (if I didn't taste wrongly). Not to salty.
