Review of Unkai Japanese Cuisine (#01-88) Unkai Japanese Cuisine offers an impressive variety of bentos and set meals, exactly what a hawker centre should provide for today’s lifestyle. I enjoyed a well-priced salmon bowl with a generous piece of salmon on fluffy Japanese rice — satisfying and good value. I’ll definitely be returning to try more items from their extensive menu.

Ordered Set 14 but swapped beef for pork. The meat was tender, and the seafood was fresh. I like the concept of having individual teppanyaki at a hawker centre. However, the sauce splattered everywhere when I carried the food tray back to the table, so maybe avoid wearing a nice top friendly service crew and short wait time at peak dinner hours

Ordered Teriyaki beef don, rice is soft and topped with a generous portion of meat. Affordable don which doesn't breaks your wallet. Taste slighly blend, would be better if meat is marinated longer with more sauce.

Not bad. In a hawker where many famous food located, this is a good alternative.

forgive me for not taking any photos. i ordered the chicken udon and it was amazing! it is very hard to source for a soup based dish that does not make you yearn to chug a bottle of water down after. the noodles had a great texture, the broth sweet and savoury, chicken had one of the best roasted flavours out there and in a soup dish as well! the egg was well seasoned and the texture of the yolk was not too runny and not too dry, it was just smack in the middle of soft and runny. im excited to try the entire menu based on so many good reviews about this place!
