Singapore lor mee is so diverse and versatile. Today, I headed down to Old Changi Airport Food Centre to try this Tiong Bahru Lor Mee. For $5.50, this bowl really stands out among the other stalls in the hawker centre. The freshly fried fish and ingredients were good, and the thick gravy wasn’t overly salty either. Definitely worth a try if you’re there!

Tried the lor mee with fish and pork belly. The flavors were decent similar to a classic hawker style lor mee. However, for $5 the portion felt a little small and there wasn’t much fish or pork belly in the bowl. Overall, a decent option if you’re nearby, but not particularly outstanding for the price.

Found this stall by chance as I was looking for lunch. It’s a one man show stall. From the interaction of the customers before me I can tell those were his regulars. The display of big pieces of fried fish made me queue for it. Unlike other lor mee stalls this chef used a pair of scissors to cut chunks of fried fish onto the noodles. 😍 My favourite kind of lor mee. The presentation may look messy but every morsel I ate was delicious. Looks like this stall is now my favourite here at old airport FC.

Old airport road hawker has 2 great lor mee stalls. This is the one behind beside the mutton soup. Have been eating for years. Quality is good. Gravy is tasty. Condiments are to your preference, you can ask for as much garlic, chilli or vinegar as u like. Real fried fish and not cheap dory bits. Some lor mee emphasize crisps to make up for lack of flavour or ingredients but not here. As far as value goes, i think you can get a 5/6 sgd portion and be safisfied and those with bigger appetites can go for the 7/8sgd portion with added fish/braised meat. A whole braised egg was given in mine.

Saw some reviews on Facebook saying it was good, so I went to try it. Indeed, it is delicious, but the ingredients are a bit little for the price.
