Paid $4 for a plate of wanton noodle. The noodle is springy, well-cooked comes with a rich umami-packed broth, and silky, flavorful dumplings. The soup is not too salty, comes with 3 juicy dumplings. The overall taste is savoury and with nice depth of umami. The wantons are not big but still flavourful. The dish is completed with char siu that’s tender and caramelized to perfection, adding a layer of sweetness that balances the overall profile. Worth a try.

My food rating guide: 2.5/5 ‐-------> Average taste 5/5 ‐--------> Scrumptious! (My comfort food! 🤩) Noodle was not al dente. Had a kind of sticky texture. Fried wanton was salty. Boiled wanton was 99% thick wanton skin. Barely any meat. Soup had a heavy ikan bilis taste but gamey. Veg tasted raw. The wanton noodle was a 2/5

💥 Welcome to my food sharing Instagram: jkgourmets. 欢迎游览我的美食IG: jkgourmets Honestly, this is my first time ordering from this new stall after hawker centre major renovation recently. Saw the impressive media recommendations wall, decided to give it a try. Stall owner authie was very polite with good manners, and their food pricing was really affordable too, as low as $4/plate with very decent portion. Unfortunately, the overall taste was slightly disappointed, the soup base or noodle seasoning sauce taste was nor savory or spicy or with ingredient sweetness. Just short of Umami flavourful taste. Fortunately, I do like their use of noodle selection, slightly chewy and bold, taste like eggy noodle, personally hate those rubbery yellow noodle texture, just like eating rubber band. Luckily, this stall noodle is not. Char-siew meat was okay, normal and not impressive. As for the Wantan dumpling, that was really another miss-quality creation, wantan skin was OK, but the ingredients and the finishing was really not as good as how it looks like. Overall, a $4/plate was really not much you can complain about, but if you loved wantan noodle (mee) like me, I wish to recommend you other better selection. ***Received reply after this review published. Stall owner mentioned that he is proud to highlight that they never add any single drop of MSG for the mission of providing healthier Wantan Noodle to customer especially elderly. Kudos to the stall owner who already create this heritage foods for the past few decades.

This is one of the newer wanton mee stall at Old Airport hawker. I order the dried version with chili - I love their chili and the char siew, slightly charred and were one of the better ones at this hawker. At just $4, this wanton mee is not only delicious but also very affordable that served 5 wantons (3 wantons in soup and 2 deep fried wantons) with it. I know I will definitely be back for more!
