As the name says, it definitely delivered. The roast pork was nearly perfect - I love the crispy skin, melty fats and the lean parts. The roast duck had that notable dang gui taste to it. I think there’s texture is a bit off but still, it’s very soft and easy to be taken apart. I do think the sauce on the meat and rice definitely give that dish an edge. It really brings out the goodness of the meat. Definitely a strong contender for a return visit to try other dishes again.

Loved the charsiew for its robust caramelised taste and the texture...would have given 5 if the roast pork was as nice... probably closer to a 4.5 than a 4. Also the lack of chilli sambal and black soy sauce is a minus point. Nevertheless the charsiew is worth the long journey for me to travel to have this. Like that they have self-service for the soup which is chock-full of cabbage and some chicken meat...or at least that's what it tasted like to me.

Super crispy roasted pork, only that the meat served was a bit on the fat side. The stall prepared two types of cut for char siew (fat and lean) although I asked for 70% lean type - instruction was lost after the order taker took my order. Bit pricy as order is in steps of 100g, you can't have 150g of each type of meat even if you opt for two types of meat. I felt that some flexiblity should be exercised for mixed meat order.

I really like their char siew and roast pork, despite the long queue during meal times. I had been eating them for years. But lately I realised that they served really charred parts too. Those meat are sold basis weight if u want to just get them without the rice. 100g, 200g etc. So u see, it matters that they trimmed away those charred parts before serving. I get it that some of us like the charred parts too. Trust me, I like them too, those parts given were really too charred for consumption. They were bitter to consume. On that day, I dined in with a plate of char siew rice on the spot and they were fine. Some charred parts but not too bad. But I also takeaway 300g a of char siew and lots of them were too charred. Photos were from my takeaway.

Roast Paradise’s char siu rice delivers the kind of satisfaction that makes you pause between bites. The char siu itself is gloriously caramelised—edges darkened just enough to bring a hint of char, while the interior remains tender and richly marbled. Each slice carries that unmistakable balance of smoky sweetness and savoury depth, the glaze sticky and fragrant with malt sugar and soy, clinging to the rice beneath it. The rice, fluffy and lightly oiled, absorbs every drop of sauce, transforming into something indulgent yet comforting. What sets Roast Paradise apart is its precision: the meat is roasted with enough control to achieve that glossy sheen without tipping into bitterness, and the portions are generous without feeling excessive. The dish becomes a complete experience—modern in refinement, but faithful to the heart of old-school SG-style roast. It’s a hawker meal that reminds you how far technique and patience can elevate even the humblest plate of rice.
