Lau Pa Sat Taiwan Porridge

Super good bean sprout with salted fish!! Sweet and sour pork had a wonder sauce and they use meat ball instead.

Homey meal, reasonably priced and very friendly owner; like a long-time neighbour. Fish deep-fried well and crispy. Everything generally fresh and tasty.

Changed owner and cook, no longer the old couple. Taste is different now, the sweet potato porridge is lukewarm and not the orange sweet potato. Food portion is small.

Most disgusting sweet and sour pork I have ever eaten. Not sure if they served wrongly, but they used minced meat? The taste was very off.

The food was pretty alright and felt home cook; this review omits the photo of the bai-chai vegetables. Trying this for the first time; the stall owner just said, "Just get a vegetable, egg and a fish.". Since this is Taiwan porridge, the erroneous move was to assume that the cost was bone fide not prohibitive. Unfortunately the bill for 2 people with the mentioned items cost S$41 as at 3rd June 2019. Caveat Emptor~
