Serviceable chicken rice, possibly the best of the 3 options at Old Airport Road hawker centre already. Taste-wise its a 3.5. $4.50 portion is reasonably generous. Rice is flavourful but unfortunately many broken grains. Chicken breast is tender. The sauce added can be on the salty side, so do tell them to not put that if you don't like your food too salty. Stall owners are friendly & warm.

When you hear the name Kheng Hai Hui Boneless Chicken Rice, one might not expect to find chicken bones in their food. But not in this case. I ordered 2 roasted wings, and I was greeted with the sight of chicken bones in my wings. Whether the presence of bones in my wings is acceptable will be up to the reader to decide. Perhaps it is really tough to debone chicken wings. But either way, Kheng Hai Hui serves really good rice. This might be the best rice in Singapore. But before you jump for joy thinking you have found the holy grail of chicken rice, think again. Because I said rice, not chicken rice. Their rice is fragrant, flavorful, and not oily. The rice is perfect. I don't think the big brand names can actually match their rice. The chicken wings however, was simply average and lack lustre. While writing this review, the chinese phrase 一朵鲜花插在牛粪上 keeps popping into my head. The chicken is what really ruins the dish. The rice is S tier, but the chicken....... So end of the day, this just ends up as an average plate of chicken rice.

One of the underrated Chicken Rice in S’pore. The rice is well flavoured and not oily. Meat is tender but the sauce is on the salty side. The soup is the typical kind you would get in those chicken rice stall. Chillis a bit let down as it is too garlicky. $7 for 2 drums and gizzards is definitely affordable.

Tried both the white and roasted chicken. The rice was not oily but a little on the bland side. Chicken was okay. The sauce drizzled on it was a little too sweet for my liking. Soup was flavourful. I like how they provided a variety of continents; ginger, chili and soy sauce. Overall the chicken rice here is sweeter than the ones you get elsewhere.

Yummy chicken rice, nicest in Old Airport Road and the entire east side to be honest. The chicken, rice, chilli, and ginger sauce are all fantastic. The hawkers are also nice and friendly. The chicken is very tender yet still bouncy. They also do it the traditional way which is to serve it cold, so you have a nice thin transparent jelly under the skin. Many hawkers don’t do this anymore. They also always accede to my extra coriander request which is so nice of them. I rate them 10/10!!!
