168 Curry Chicken

The curry tasted like home-cooked. Curry is very rich and delicious. The potatoes are not cooked till very soft. The texture a bit hard and the bite was excellent. For $6.50 it comes with rice and 2 chicken wings with a few nuggets of potatoes. After finishing the rice the curry gravy still left plenty. Could had added bread to go with.

Curry Chicken that tasted like the ones my late mum used to make! I am very particular about my Curry Chicken and have never found one to my liking. Some tasted just like curry powder, whilst others are too watery. Until I tried the Curry Chicken from this store! They ONLY sell Curry Chicken (as stated on their signboard! 168 咖喱鸡） This store uses fresh spices and lots of Curry leaves in their luscious thick gravy. The potatoes are pre-fried before adding to the Curry. Generous portioning of 2 plump chicken wings. You can have the Curry with Rice, Prata, Bread or Noodles. My personal favourite is their Bread. Nicely toasted French Loaf that is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It "melts" when you did it in the Curry. Only 1 "complaint", LOL. Protect your clothes or wear dark clothing. It's all fun and laughter until you drop the Curry onto your nice clothes! Takes 3 rounds of Vanish O washes to get rid of most of the stain!

Went to the stall, waited 5 min and he didn’t serve me. So I went other places to get other things first. After I came back to the stall, the owner greeted me with a smile and apologise as he had to serve the pre orders first. Well, at least the wait is worth while. The curry tasted very home cooked. $6.50 comes with rice and the curry chicken(2 drums 2 wings 2 potatoes). Would definitely come back again. Happy tummy!

Tasty curry chicken where the sauce is just about right: 1. Right texture of the curry sauce, slightly thick but not too "gunky". 2. Flavourful but not overwhelming. Able to taste the flavor of curry and curry leaves. Although it was a tad bit salty, presumably because the sauce is always taken with the rice/bread/noodles. For the standard portion, I was given 2 chicken wings (drumlet and wings) and 2 potatoes. Extra portions of potatoes are possible at a fee, which I would recommend if you love your potatoes as it has the right consistency and bite.
