dumplings are a little smaller than usual, but they're juicy and meaty! priced at $5.50 for 8 steamed dumplings. takeaway charges apply. i find them a tad pricey as there are equally good dumpling stalls in the same hawker centre that are more affordable. stall owner is friendly though :)

Yes, I have been an ardent fan of their fried dumplings over the last 30 years where the stall was previously located at the second level of Margaret Drive hawker centre. These dumplings are crispy, golden brown on the outside, with juicy, well-seasoned minced meat and chive fillings inside. Yum!

Years ago, I patronised this stall several times when it was in Margaret Drive. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they are now in the Maxwell market, so we went to check it out. The guo tie (fried dumplings) were still as delicious as I remembered. Served piping hot, they paired really well with the ginger vinegar. I also love the hot and sour soup; it was well balanced and really tasty. The Shanghai style hor fun was good too. It was also great value for money, with the total bill for all 3 dishes totalling $14.20. The lady boss and helper were very friendly and we had a little chat. When I told her I wanted to buy drinks, she said she will cook a little later so that my food would be fresh when I returned. Definitely worth checking out!

I'd say this is a pretty decent, value for money dumplings stall. I preferred the steamed dumplings more than the fried one cause it's juicy and full of meat. $5.60 for 8 pieces of dumplings (70 cents for 1 dumpling), not bad at all! Although it's not on the menu, you can order a mixture of 4 fried dumplings + 4 steamed dumplings also 👍 The food doesn't look good but trust me, try the steamed dumplings!

I visited this stall on a weekday for dinner and ordered the fried Shanghai rice cakes, adding 1 steamed dumpling for just 60 cents. I was eager to try the dumplings, having heard great things about them, and since I was dining alone, 1 seemed like the perfect choice. 🥟 Steamed Dumplings The dumplings were truly exceptional. The filling was incredibly flavorful, with a generous mix of vegetables that was both mushy and well-seasoned. The dumpling skin was perfectly chewy and bouncy, providing a delightful mouthfeel. If I return, I'll definitely order a tray of these delicious dumplings. 🍜 Shang Hai Fried Rice Cakes ($5) The fried rice cakes, while decent, didn't leave a strong impression. The flavours were light and slightly sweet, with a focus on the vegetables. The rice cakes themselves were chewy and soft, and the gravy, a starchy slurry, was similar to a hor fun sauce. Overall, I rate the dumplings 5/5 stars🌟 and the rice cakes 3.5/5 🌟. The friendly and smiley elderly couple running the stall added to the pleasant dining experience. ☺️
