Fantastic meal! Fame well earned! The MOST fragrant and delicious chicken rice, with great chicken (not ayam kampung though as an Indonesian). The whole chicken was MASSIVE (about the size of a CostCo rotisserie chicken) and the sauce was awesome. Amazingly cheap as well as they tend to keep it as low cost as can be (extra cost for sauces, cutleries, etc). Staff works very quickly and efficiently, with the usual Singaporean hospitality. Queue gets quite long knowing the fame of this place, especially during peak hours. Maxwell food center also gets packed really quickly, but there usually are seats. Would return often for meals.

Famous for a reason! The chicken is tender and juicy, paired with flavorful rice that’s soft and fragrant. The chili sauce adds a nice kick that ties everything together. The only downside is the long queue — especially during lunch hours — so be prepared to wait. But overall, it’s worth trying at least once for the authentic Singapore chicken rice experience.

The stall is located in Maxwell foodcourt, and has quite a queue, but the queue moved quite quickly. It seems Tian Tian no longer sell the roasted chicken looking at how they had printed a hard plastic (not some cheap paper) saying no roasted chicken. The roasted chicken was why I went there in the first place but I decided to get the steamed chicken rice since I was already there. Chicken was tender and juicy, but lack taste in my opinion. Was offered the beansprout and saw they had a recommended sign on their signboard, so decided to try it, but the beansprout was tasteless. Probably it lacked salt? Was crunchy though. Personally, I won’t travel all the way to this area just to eat at the chicken rice anymore. But if you’re interested to try their food, you can try them at the other branches, since it wasn't the original lady owner cooking here anyway.

First time visiting, one of the must visit hawker stalls if you are ever in Singapore. This stall was made famous by the Anthony Bourdain and the queue couldn't be any longer even at non peak hours, there always seem to be a queue. The ordering process is simple, at the right most stall, wait for your turn to pass the receipt to the staff at the 2nd stall, take your food and go. It's basically like a self service kiosk that's run efficiently. The food is definitely a standout delicious and one of the best chicken rice I have tasted, everything is delicious from the fragrant rice itself to the meat off the bone chicken that's so tender you'd be shocked you need to bite it at all, that's how soft it is. We ordered the white chicken half portion at 17 SGD which is slightly above average in Singapore, but for the taste it is well worth it. You can additionally add a oyster sauce vegetables but it's quite normal at 4 SGD. Overall, a globally recognized chicken rice that's a must visit if you are ever in Singapore. Thank you for reading my review 😊

The highlight of this dish is actually the rice. It was smooth and fragrant. For the chicken, it was tender and good too but actually not that super impressive. The price was not expensive but not that cheap either, I am not sure on others’ chicken rice stalls. The queue line at around 3-4 PM was still quite long, but it moved pretty fast. Initially wanted to order roasted chicken rice but it had already sold out. So you had better come earlier.
