Third time's the charm. After two unsuccessful trips, I finally arrived on a Tuesday to find freshly made kueh. Only ang ku kueh in three flavours were available, so I chose two: the mung bean and green bean. I couldn't believe they were only $1 each. I originally planned to take them home, but they were still warm and alluring, so I ended up eating one right away. The size was larger than usual, with a good skin-to-filling ratio and a chewy, satisfying skin that had a wonderful, old-school flavour 古早味. When I asked uncle about his operating hours, he told me that due to his age, he can't commit to a fixed schedule. I had hoped to try the Wah Kueh, but they weren't available. I'll try my luck again sometime soon.

honestly really good, i managed to get almost everything i can get, all 3 kueh flavours and another delight that i don’t remember the name of but its so good! support uncle, it’s really big portion and tastes good! uncle was very helpful with helping me pick which was suited to what i liked most as well and recommended me some less sugary options

They don’t make traditional snacks like this anymore, it’s so rare that a spot like this still exists today. Please you have to make your way down to try uncle’s ang ku kueh 😭 It is out of this world - made as fresh as it can be, the skin is soft and chewy and the fillings are extremely generous (probably 3x of a usual AKK you can find in the mall) at an absolute STEAL of only $1 each. R U KIDDING ME!!! Go support this sweet uncle and enjoy a nostalgic taste of the past while you’re at. You won’t regret it!

I came across this stall one evening and got 3 ang ku kueh in various flavours. They are so delicious! The skin is sticky, chewy, and soft, the filling is flavourful and not overly sweet. We also got a wah kueh which we enjoyed the next day. The owner is a friendly and kind uncle, I enjoyed my brief chat with him very much. I wish stalls like this were appreciated more in today’s world, it’s hard to find people who commit to keep traditions alive!

finally tried both the ang ku kueh and wah kueh from the loveliest uncle! 🥹 the ang ku kueh tasted so homey — has a super chewy, slightly thicker skin and a generous peanut filling that wasn’t too sweet. not to mention, each piece cost $1, a price that’s almost impossible to find in sg these days! uncle usually opens around 7pm so do come by and support him if you’re in the area!!
