While at Maxwell Food Centre for Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice, I noticed a long line at another stall and, without any prior research, decided to give it a try. Their signature fish soup seemed to be a crowd favorite, and I couldn’t resist checking it out. Since I was already a bit full after the chicken rice, I opted for the mixed fish option, which includes both boiled and fried fish. It was the perfect choice! The boiled fish was tender and fresh, while the fried fish added a nice crunch and contrast in texture. The soup itself was light, flavorful, and incredibly fresh—comforting yet not too heavy. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which made having hot soup in the heat a bit of a challenge. But honestly, the freshness and quality of the dish made it absolutely worth it. Highly recommend giving this a try if you’re at Maxwell!
