Xi Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice

Very disappointing experience. My wife was halfway through her bowl of curry chicken noodles when she found a strand of hair in it. We brought it to the attention of the stall owner, but instead of acknowledging the issue, he immediately denied responsibility, claiming it wasn’t his. When we showed him the hair, he simply picked it up and brushed it off, saying “there’s nothing inside.” His dismissive and defensive attitude was shocking — no apology, no offer to replace the dish, just denial and deflection. He even said we could complain to the authority if we wanted, which shows how little regard he has for customer service or hygiene standards. This kind of response is unacceptable. A basic level of accountability is expected from any food establishment. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise against visiting this store, whether for their Hainanese chicken rice or any other dish.

Tried the curry chicken noodle for the first time as many stalls was not opened yet. Surprisingly the curry was vary fragrant and chicken was very tender. I can say it's better than some famous stalls which are quite oily and touristy. Highly recommended.

The stall I wanted to visit wasn't open, so I tried this one instead. I ordered take away curry mee+beehoon. There was only one other customer behind me, but the owner said he was busy and wouldn't put my curry soup in a separate bag. I had to pay an extra box for it to be put in, but the portion was ridiculously small and tasted terrible. It was my first and last time there.

Had the Curry Chicken Noodles ($5). Substantial portion of chicken breast, taupok, and fishcakes. The curry gravy was also thick, though not as flavourful as I would have liked it to be. It lacks a certain oomph.

One of better chicken rice i had in recent months. The rice is really fragent and cooked just right. Despite ordering the breast meat. It really tender and the skin has a very nice texture to it. The soup was also worth mentioning, very clear but packs with alot of flavour. Highly recommeded, worth trying!
