I really enjoyed this chicken stew! It was my first time trying, and I happened to chance upon this stall over lunch. Food was unique and very comforting. Think - Grandma's pot of slurpy stew, with bone tender chicken that melts in your mouth. And a side of zesty tangy salsa to pair with unique butter rice. I think this is a value meal for $5.50. Definitely a meal that exceeds expectations. I slurped up every last drop of gravy. I also packed away their apple crumble and banana crumble for breakfast the next day. Will report back!

It may appear very unassuming but this dish is homey, tasty, filling and one I keep coming back to. I particularly love the gravy which has a mild corn (to me) flavour. Coupled with salsa, chili and the fragrant rice, it’s an affordable meal one can have almost every day. Wish I knew what the original name of this dish is.

This humble stall serves extremely delicious unique food. A short menu of dishes to choose from, but what they offer are extremely tasty and savoury dishes which will easily whet your appetite with each mouthful until your plate is empty. Yes, it’s that good, and you have to try to appreciate. Start with their Colombian Chicken rice set, and round off with an Apple or Banana Crumble. The chicken is cooked to perfection in their special sauce, which is not spicy but very favourful and savoury. The chicken meat (a whole complete thigh) is soft and goes well with the sauce. The rice has a special blend of spices and can be eaten alone. Try a mouthful before mixing with the chicken sauce and experience the favourful rice by itself. If you prefer a little more spicy on the chicken, you can add the provided chilli, but be warned, the chilli is spicy. The apple or banana crumbles are equally unique from their outlook. Beyond their crusty tops, the apples or bananas inside are chunky and delightful to the taste. Definitely worth a try, especially after your meal, or simply as an afternoon snack with your tea or coffee. The owner is extremely chatty and jovial, and goes to great lengths to explain his dishes, and it’s such a pleasure to deal with him. Highly recommended both for the food and the service.
