MaMa cakes - Authentic Hong Kong Dessert

Very friendly aunty! Bought banana & pumpkin cakes! Both were moist and not too sweet! Even my toddler can eat it!!

Very warm and kind lady boss. Ordered her luo han guo drink for $2 and added 50c for longan. I received about 20 pieces longan in a small cup. Tasted like home. She is super generous. Cake flavour of the day was jackfruit walnut cake. Next time I will try her almond/red bean/black sesame paste which she explained to me were self ground and homemade. Her stall is nestled right at the back of the Muslim cluster.

Bought the polish cheesecake, egg tarts, orh nee(yam paste) and soya bean milk. You really must taste for yourself to really know the quality and effort gone into the goodies. There is goodness in every bite/sip. Cheesecake is rich and the texture is different from the usual ones found in cafes/shops. Will not elaborate on other goodies as that will take too long. Enough to say, they are way better than others. Stall holder mentioned that she closes the shop these days around 2pm. Very friendly and caring lady.

My go to place for affordable and authentic black sesame paste! Paste is thick and very nutritious. Have it 2-3 times weekly. Aunty is very friendly and I always have a good time chatting with her.

Without a doubt, this is the best place to get traditional, authentic HK style desserts in Singapore. The auntie takes a lot of pride in her creations and grinds everything by hand - we have tried their sesame / almond / red bean paste and gingko barley, and they were all full of unadulterated goodness (真材实料!). My favourite is the sesame - I don't think I can eat another bowl of sesame paste elsewhere now that I know how the real deal is supposed to taste! We also tried their Polish cheesecake and a variety of cakes like winter melon salted egg and walnut longan. They were all quite tasty and affordably priced. Auntie is very friendly and welcoming. I really hope she gets more business!
