Very reasonably priced fish, but I think only those who don't cook at home would appreciate it. The farmed fish taste is really strong, and the taste of the sauce is average, nothing much to shout about. The queue here is perpetually long, so I definitely don't think it's worth the time or effort to queue here. Do also note that the stall owners here refuse to give an additional plate, which is a bit puzzling to me.

Queued around 30min. Ordered $6.50 chopped chili fish set. Comes with chawanmushi. One of the OG steamfish store. Pro Taste. Fish were fresh and amount of gravy can just be used to pair with the fish. Size of the fish is also quite substainable. 2 sauces triple the taste. I like it that they have two sauces so you can either eat the fish as it is or dip into either. Chawanmushi was silky and tastety.

We had the steamed sea bass with fresh chopped chilli. The fish is fresh and is steamed perfectly. The chilli complements this fish nicely. For each order, you get one side of the fish head. This meal with a bowl of rice is good enough for one person. There is usually a queue for the food during lunch time and takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get to your turn.

When you climb the stairs to the second level of the hawker centre, you will already see from far the long queue it formed. I tried because I saw the forever long queues and finally ate it when the queue was shorter than usual. They have only 4 fish dishes on the menu for you to choose from. You are lucky if the dish you choose are ready because sometimes u need to wait if steaming next batch in progress or a fish type is out of stock that day. The fish is decent although it is not super fresh but it is ok. The seasoning really bring out the flavours of the fish which make it up. The set also has a steamed egg which is perfectly steamed. The price is affordable and that explained the queue as well. The couple manning the stall are polite and friendly despite the queue which I appreciated it.

Big portions at a super low price. Really rare for steamed fish in Singapore! Comes in a full set with rice, steamed egg, and fish, so definitely bang for your buck. Food’s alright, nothing mind-blowing, but does the job. Just expect a long queue, so patience is a must!
