Really fantastic bakes at such an affordable price point! Macadamias are so expensive, not sure how the owner maintains this price.. thank you so much! The cake and muffin is so moist. The french tarts are also remarkable, it’s firm, buttery and crisp. My personal favourites are the muffins, scones and butter cake. Please give them a try when you are in the area!

Great hawker bakes. Rather than supporting expensive foreign brands, get your financiers and madelines here. Both better, and more innovative than luxury brands you'll find at orchard or mbs This is the way forward for our hawker brands.

A hidden gem in a hawker centre. This stall in Goldenmile Food Centre at Beach Road (below the army goods market) sells luxurious French styled pastries, at wallet friendly prices. It sells tarts, financiers, madeleines, scones and cakes. I tried the: Original basque cheese cake ($3.20): The dense cheesy cake has just the right amount of sweetness, without being cloying. It tasted better than it looked. Buttermilk scones ($2.50): it has a soft, moist crumbly texture, with a glistening top. It even came with a slab of french butter to be spread onto the scones Poached pear tart ($$4.50y: The sweet filling of poached pear tasted fresh and yet delightfully light. The crust has just just the right texture and thickness without outshining the filling. Friendly reminder: Go early - there is a constant stream of customers and the stall usually sells out it's wares early.

Repeat customer. I like their financiers, comes in different flavors. Bought salted caramel, oolong longan and chocolate. Also bought the muffin, really fluffy and soft inside. They didn't have chocolate tart on day of visit. Their chocolate tarts are yummy too

What a gem! We were just looking for dessert in the hawker centre and saw a queue in front of this stall and decided to try… we loved it! We got the pecan tart and the chocolate financier and both were soooo good. So good that we went back and got 12 more items. Definitely going back soon!
