Nothing outstanding but it's a very decent bowl of fish soup. I'd say it's a good standard of fish soup and roughly what you'd expect. Friendly boss and the soup has quite a good amount of fish. Price was ok $5.50. Can eat.

I had a bowl of the basic batang fish soup. was totally shocked when i took a sip. the soup was flavourful and not fishy. the fish slices were fresh and firm. the green chilli adds on to the experience. 👌🏻👌🏻 i normally don't take fish soup cause I don't like the fishy taste but this was awesome. will be back to try other dishes.

Seafood lover's dream come true! This $8.50 seafood soup is a must-try! I like their self ordering kiosk - fast and straightforward with whatever one wanna add. The humble friendly chef cooked every bowl with passion indeed! Don't be fooled by the simple looking soup. Packed with an abundance of succulent scallops, lala, flavorful batang fish, and 2 great sized juicy prawns. Each spoonful is a sweet delight! The broth is perfectly balanced, complementing the freshness of the seafood. Wondering any MSG added as every spoonful of soup is so addictive. Can't wait to go back for more! Will try out the $12 seafood set with Ngoh Hiang soon.

Super flavourful batang fish soup! Ngoh hiang was tasty with water chestnut crunch as well. Didn't need any sweet sauce at all... I loved having it all on its own. Stall owner was super helpful in assisting me to order with the touch screen and navigating the menu options. He highlighted the $9 set meal to me when he found out that i wanted to try both the batang soup with mee suah and ngoh hiang. Will definitely come back to try grouper fish soup.

I've passed by this new stall a few times without trying but finally decided to give it a shot after reading about the chef story in a featured article. Visit on a Saturday, I went with the Sliced Fish Soup Set A for $9, and I added fish roe $2 (snagging the last portion at only 12 PM+ so lucky!) and bittergourd $0.50. Now, I might not be Teochew, but I basically grew up on Teochew-style fish soup and spent a good chunk of last year exploring different fish soup stalls all over Singapore. Honestly, I'd easily put this in my top 10 Teochew-style fish soups. Just a heads-up: if you're into fried fish soup with milk, yikes - this isn't for you! The broth here is a medium-light consistency, but don't let that fool you—it's incredibly flavourful with a lovely hint of sweetness. And seriously, the chef's knife skills deserve a special shout-out. Every single slice of fish is perfectly even and flakes beautifully. They use only light marinades, and thankfully, they keep the skin on. The fish itself is super fresh and cooked to a perfect smooth, firm texture. I can't stress this enough: you have to try it with the bee hoon combination. It just soaks up all that flavourful soup, making every mouth simply divine! Oh, and the ngoh hiang is amazing too. It's fried fresh when you order, and the filling is generous with a perfectly crisp skin and seasoned just right. I'm glad I made the long commute to try this place. I'm definitely coming back for more!
