Zai Lai Shao La

Ordered roast chicken rice and requested for breast meat. 😋 It was so tender and I also realised that their garlic chilli sauce was good and flavourful too! A lot of customers went back to refill it.

Their Char Siew was well seasoned, not overly fatty, had more lean meat, most importantly, it was well barbecued. The meat edges was very crispy. Roast pork skin was thin yet crispy and had a good ratio of fat to meat. Definitely patronizing again soon.

Was very keen to give this shop a try, after all, the meats that were hung all look fairly decent. I waited whilst the hawker entertained a lady who had cut my queue. And thankfully, that gave the opportunity to note its fly infestation. It was unbelievable how half a dozen flies immediately surround the plate of char siew rice that was meant for the lady in front. That plate was sitting around, but was freshly prepared and placed on the tray for service. Whilst every seemed ok on the surface, it would appear that there are much deeper hygiene and cleanliness issues here.

8.30 for this plate of awful food. Small pieces of meat and super expensive. Lady who took order pulled a long face when she faced customers and chatted happily with her stall helpers. Do not visit

Avoid this stall at all cost. Ordered a roast chicken rice and they gave me one small charred/burned chicken wing instead of the usual chicken breast. I requested politely for a change to chicken breast meat and the younger guy who was chopping became angry and complaining to me loudly that i need to specify the part before it was served. The chicken breast was absolutely tasteless and dry. Don't waste your money here. Extremely lousy attitude.
