Chicken rice : 6.5/10 rating Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken rice is quite popular in Singapore. You can see many different branches at most of the food centers. The chicken rice tasted okay and chicken meat is also quite tender. It will taste better if you dine in ..

Chicken was ok, not the most tender and succulent I’ve had, but at least it was boneless which made it more pleasurable and satisfied to eat. 🙂 They also provided three classic sauces which are essential in HCR, bravo to them. 👏🏻 If they can improve the tenderness of the chicken, they can be a contender. 😏

As a big fan of chicken rice, I was excited to try Tong Fong Fatt for the first time. From afar, the steamed chicken looked incredibly savoury — tender, glistening, and inviting. It definitely got my hopes up. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t quite meet my expectations. The chicken itself leaned too sweet for my liking, which threw off the balance of flavours I usually enjoy in a good plate of chicken rice. The accompanying soup was rather bland, and both the chilli and ginger condiments lacked the punch I was hoping for — the chilli wasn’t very tasty, and the ginger sauce was too watery to add much. That said, the warm and friendly service from the ah ma at the counter was a bright spot in the experience. Her kind demeanor added a nice personal touch to the visit. Overall, while I appreciated the presentation and service, the flavours didn’t quite suit my preferences. Might not be my go-to spot, but still grateful for the experience.

An absolutely average plate of chicken rice. Honestly, anything worse than this shouldn’t exist. The rice - slightly cold, dry and not particularly fragrant. The chicken was tender and the sauce that goes with it is fragrant and flavourful. The chilli was terribly salty without adding any real value as it lacked a punch. The soup was mostly bland. Overally, reasonable for $2.50. Would definitely not pay anything more.

Average chicken rice with reasonable price to fill your tummy.. consider the rental here. Well, I dislike the sesame oil because its sweet type.. the rice quality is average.. to fill tummy.. The chicken is OK.. Chili is great.. fill tummy ok.
