Tried the char kway teow here and honestly, it was disappointing. The flavour was flat — not enough light or dark soy sauce, so the dish ended up tasting quite bland. I paid an extra dollar for more cockles but only got five small pieces, and they didn’t have any of that rich shellfish taste you'd expect. The $4 portion was small, with barely any egg or fishcake. I know it’s cheap, but even then, the quality just wasn’t there. It felt like they were just going through the motions without really putting heart into the dish. I hope the uncles can revisit their recipe and bring back some of the old-school flavour that makes char kway teow great. It has potential — but right now, it’s just not worth the calories or the money.

Jimmy people park fried Kway teow located at Bedok interchange hawker just next to the bus interchange The cockles is big and juicy Price from $4-$5 *Char Kway Teow*) is a popular Southeast Asian stir-fried noodle dish that’s rich, smoky, and packed with flavor. Here’s what makes it so irresistible: Flat Rice Noodles** – Soft, slightly chewy *kway teow* noodles are stir-fried at high heat for a perfect *wok hei* (breath of the wok) aroma. - **Dark Soy Sauce** – Gives the dish its signature caramelized color and sweet-savory depth. - **Garlic & Chilies** – Fragrant minced garlic and spicy chili paste (sambal) add a punch of flavor. - **Protein** – Often includes **prawns, Chinese sausage (*lap cheong*), eggs, and sometimes squid or chicken**. - **Bean Sprouts & Chives** – Fresh, crunchy bean sprouts and green chives balance the richness. - **Egg** – Scrambled into the noodles, adding a silky texture. Texture & Taste:** - **Smoky & Savory** – The high-heat stir-fry creates a slightly charred, smoky taste. - **Sweet & Spicy** – A mix of dark soy sauce, light soy, and chili for a balanced umami kick. - **Chewy & Crisp** – The noodles are tender yet firm, with crispy edges from the wok. - Best enjoyed hot, straight from the wok!

Tried the Fried Meat Teow at Jimmy People’s Park and enjoyed the generous mix of ingredients like fish cake, lup cheong, and cockles. The flavors are well-balanced, though I wish there was more wok hei. Still, a satisfying plate for kway teow lovers!

Have been eating from this stall for more than 10years. Their char kway tiao is more dry and lighter in color. Taste wise is above average or sometime bland but wok how is there. For oyster omelette, the texture is gooey and similar to my childhood taste. Nothing to shout about but the location is beside the MRT n interchange. Not worth if u come just for these. BTW, the stall owners says they opened till 5-6pm.

Prepare to wait around the stall after you order because there’s not much of a queue system. It all depends on the uncle’s photo memory so if he forgets about you or if you do not make constant eye contact with him, you might miss your order altogether. The taste of the CKT is nothing to shout about but the hum is fantastic!
