Our favorite Pork Porridge Stall was closed when we visited ABC Brickworks Food Centre, so we browsed around other stalls. Noticed this stall, Wah Leng Wanton Noodles, seemed to be quite popular amongst the diners. Wifey and I thought we should try…but order one bowl first. There wasn’t a queue when I stepped up to the stall and ordered just one bowl of their Traditional Wanton Noodles for $5. Preparation was pretty fast. When I brought to wifey for “food tasting”, hmmm…pretty good. So we decided to order one more bowl. But when I turned around there were already 3 persons in the queue. Wifey said “let’s finish the first bowl then queue”. Instead I told her to eat first while I queue for the next bowl. And fortunately I did that because the queue kept forming 🤣🤣🤣 When I got the second bowl, indeed I found the egg noodles QQ (al dente). The sauce with chilli sauce was a little dark and sweetish. Tasty. Adequate vegetables and char siew was tender and generous. I liked the wanton too. The wanton wraps were soft and meat fillings were adequate. Truly a Cantonese style wanton noodle though not quite HK Style. Must say that the price was very reasonable for such good quality. Although the stall lady was polite through my two encounters, a little smile would make even greater impact. By the way, the stall closes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The noodles are described as “properly springy, thin and QQ” — they hold up well (not soggy or limp), and the sauce clings nicely without overpowering. Char siew: thicker slices with a light roasted flavour, decent fat content, not dry. Wantons / dumplings: both boiled and fried options. Boiled ones with silky skin and fresh-pork filling; fried wantons remain crispy even after some time in the bowl. Soup (for soup-style bowls) is noted to be pretty good — milky, with depth and subtle sweetness, likely from pork and dried seafood.

Excellent bowl of wanton mee - even when dabaoed. Noodles remained firm and springy, sauce mix was perfectly balanced, and ingredients were fresh and generously portioned. Char siew was better than average, with the right amount of fat, wanton skin had enough bite while being not too thick. Can’t recommend it enough!

Ordered their signature dish. $5.50 c/w 2 dumplings. Noodle was tasty. Charsiu was good. Only a pc of pork lard. Only the soup is not hot enough (minus pt)

Chanced upon this relatively new stall inside ABC Brickswork market and food centre that sells wanton noodle. I was running some errands around that area and decide to pop by for breakfast. The stall wasn't difficult to located sinced there was a long queue when I reached there. Queue was pretty long, there was at least 10 person ahead of me plus it moved pretty slow. Apart from wanton noodle, they also have the standard dumpling noodle. Prices of the noodle starts from SGD$4 onwards. I ordered the signature noodle which was SGD5.5. it comes with both wanton and dumpling. The noodle was nicely cooked, texture of the noodle was springy. The sauce has that old school taste to it. Charsiew were homemade and it wasnt dry. Overall, decent bowl of wanton noodle. Could improve on the SOP to reduce the waiting time. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for the old school taste wanton mee.
