The Bowl Story

It was an accidental find which I will go back again. The food is great and feels like it can be from a small Japanese restaurant. Not the usual hawker centre or food court Japanese food. The soup is nice. The onsen egf was perfect. The chicken katsu was tasty. The stall owner was friendly. He even offered to gave more rice. Thumbs up!!! Going back again.

Ordered the Katsudon and it was freshly prepared to perfection. Katsu was crispy and nicely fried. The rice with onsen egg and Japanese seasoning was yummy - rich umami flavor. Can't wait to come back.

Paid $5.50 for a bowl of Katsu Don and waited almost 10 minutes during a weekday lunchtime. The food was good and exceeded expectations for the price point.

It was a good packed-in dinner for the family. WhatsApp the boss to order for self collect. All was confirmed in couple of minutes. Went to collect around 2 hours later. Our food was packed in a warmer and ready for collection. We brought our own "tingkat" container for soup too. The chicken katsu and karaage tasted good. Lots of topping on rice. Curry had potato and carrot too. We will come back again to pack lunch or dinner soon. Must try their pork katsu as it was sold out this time round (it must be very popular and yummy). The boss is very friendly and helpful. We went there some weeks earlier but he said stall was closing earlier as food has sold out. He gave us his mobile number to order next round (which we did) 16 Mar 2023 : Packed a pork and a chicken katsu and s chicken curry don for dinner. Each has onsen egg. Delicious and simple meal!

First time trying out the Chicken Katsu curry from The Bowl Story! It was so good! The dish was loaded with tender and huge chunks of chicken cutlet! Carrots and potatoes was so soft to the point that they almost melts in my mouth! And curry was rich and savoury! I’m telling you, if you are a fan of Japanese curry, you have to try this!!
