Comfort food at a good price. Ordered the Bak Chor Mee with Fishball Noodles at $3.50 per bowl. Was surprised by the size of the portion; it was more than expected Good size for the prize. The good: Portion size was really generous with lots of noodles and minced pork. It came with 2 fairly large fish balls (likely machine-made). The side bowl of soup was peppery and nice. The chili was spicy with a slight kick, with a touch of sweetness to it, and went very well with the noodles. the bad: ran out of mee pok, ao the uncle used mee kia. however, the noodles weren't springy and Q, and were kinda soft and soggy. Hence, a 4-star rating. To be really fair, it's not much of an ambiance as it's in a hot, stuffy hawker center, but if you sit right outside the stall, there are fans to keep you cool. Uncle also does each bowl separately, so you need to wait a bit. But whether that's a dealbreaker is really up to whether you can tahan queueing or not. Wanted to try the laksa, but it was sold out. Uncle said to come earlier like lunch time to try it, because sometimes it finishes by lunch, while other times could be at dinner.
