An Ji Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice and Porridge

Authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice made with love by a amiable and generous Hainanese lady. This stall serves chicken rice with an old school taste that reminds me of those prepared by my own Grandmother (who came over from Hainan Island in the 1930s). The chicken is flavourful and does not depend on copious amounts of soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste well. Served with a bowl of piping hot nourishing soup, tangy chili and fragrant streamed rice, this rendition of Hainanese Chicken Rice is tops in my books. One to treasure, savour and appreciate.

Had chicken rice dinner here around 8pm. Chicken breat plus an egg. While eating had some time to check out this stall's review on Google map and realised the experience was consistent to the most recent comments. 🤔. We learn from experience and move on.

Though the food is not warm, the soup is! Food is average.. but when you're hungry, anything goes into the belly.. Rice is not fragrant.. chili is so-so only.. went there on a wet Tuesday evening at around 6pm ➕.. Payment wise, you can make contactless transfer like Paylah, GrabPay etc.. Too bad I didn't recce the food center 😕

Average taste. Order chicken rice, signboard showed $4 and $5, during payment demanded $5. Didn’t even ask me if I want what size. Felt scammed but lazy to argue coz I was tired also.

Ordered macaroni. Wanted to get some chilli sauce🌶️. Refused by owner. Said it’s only for chicken rice.
